If I had known there were fingers inside the mittens I might have thought twice about buying them. I gave them to my father as part of his Christmas and he has a bit of a struggle to get them on. On the plus side, he says they're really cosy!

Much better than gloves! 20 Jan 2011

Since I retired I have taken up cycling on a regular basis and find that in the winter months my hands get very cold. There are only so many glove inners you can add and arthritis in my right little finger precludes the use of too many layers. I decided to try mittens and could only find these on-line that were in any way manly and sporty. I read a review which berated them because they are, in fact, gloves within a mitten outer and the reviewer had a problem with his fingers which meant he couldn't wear gloves comfortably. I decided to risk it anyway and have not been disappointed. I have cycled several times for extended periods at 0 - 5�C and arrived home with warm, if slightly sweaty, hands. Also, they are flexible enough to change gear on the bike. I would definately recommend them.

Warm and cosy but will not last long. The material used for the outer covering has been skimped on and the seams are already splitting round the outside after only a few wearings.
