Format:Audio CD
Wasn't this the same title that was first released on EMI? I'm pretty sure it was, either way 'Masters...' is merely another disc for us die-hard and extreme completists. For any newcomers that might be reading this review, there are two tracks here "Master Of The Universe" and "Brainstorm" from their original lp's where they first appeared. Two cuts from the famed live album 'Space Ritual' - "Orgone Accumulator" and "Sonic Attack", plus two more, a B-side "It's So Easy" and "Lost Johnny" off the 'Hall Of The Mountain Grill' album. Great cover, don't you agree?

This is the first Hawkwind album that I bought - back in the days when albums were black and you had the option of playing them at the wrong speed. I only bought it because of the cover, but was happily blown away after I'd heard it for the first time. I would say that the only album that they did that was better than this was Warrior on The Edge of Time (when are they going to release an official copy of that on CD?). Lemmy's influence on the bass line is unmistakable and truly awesome, the diversity between Brainstorm, the title track and Lost Johnny will leave you a little bewildered at first but stick with it, if you don't like this album at the first listening you will find that it will grow on you eventually. Top band, top record!

This is another album i've had for years both on tape and now on cd.It contains the classic brainstorm, sonic attack,orgone accumulator and lost johnny,oh and not forgetting the title track MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE.
