After I had installed this rain hood on my golf bag, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, the hood kept on falling open just by wheeling my electric trolley forward; absolutely useless. However, I installed the rain hood facing rearwards, it works extremely well and I won't be returning it to the supplier.
Lesson learnt - ignore the installation instructions.

brilliant on top of the golf trolley. Doesn't blow inside out & keeps the golf clubs dry when it is raining. Excellent for our English summers!!!!

It gave quick and easy access to the golf clubs whilst keeping them dry. My friends all ask where I got it and are keen to purchase one.

No doubt that you can buy the old model cheaper elsewhere. Anyway, notwithstanding the above comment, the ease of use does what it says on the tin. I leave it on my golf trolley bag all the time and I do not find that it obstructs at all. This probably suits a trolley bag better than a carry bag because of the protection that it is afford on the trolly. I have used it in a couple of rainy conditions and consider that it does a good job. Time will tell to see how the materiel stands up to constant use. That said, it appears to be well made out of a durable materiel.

All Weather Golfers - This cover works! 20 Nov 2005
By Philip G. Newton - Published on Amazon.com
I live in the Seattle, WA area and have been using the Rain Wedge for over a year. I am a walker and usually use a pull cart or three wheel push cart. Any time the weather looks as if it might rain I put the Rain Wedge in my bag between my 3 & 5 woods. It goes on and comes off easily, it opens and closes with one hand. Or in my case, I just use my elbow to snap the cover back to keep my hands dry when getting a club. The flexible stays keep the cover up, above and away from the club heads, so the clubs and grips stay dry.

Unlike an umbrella, it's performance is not affected by windy weather, it stays in place and the front drops down low enough so rain does not get into the bag.

I have the original cover that came with the golf bag but it was a pain to use. The old cover has snaps, straps & a zipper and required two hands to open and close. In addition, the club handles would get wet when I put clubs back after hitting the ball.

I play year round, and in Seattle it is prone to rain a bit from October through June. I like the Rain Wedge and gave it as a gift to one of my golfing partners who also plays in wet weather. I recommend this product.

It absolutely works ! 17 Jun 2012

The rain cover that came with my latest golf bag never really fit my needs. I use a push cart and had found many old style covers were made for riding carts. Often the rain covers faced the wrong direction, so I would have to turn then sideways to use them. Zero problem using the Rain Wedge! I slip on the 'clips' to the sides of the bag then zip the backside closed. Best described as a old style baby carriage cover than you can easily push back to get to your clubs. Sits nice and high so you have room for headcovers and good visibility. When not in use it stores in its own umbrella style sleeve. Even in the sleeve I was able to fit it into nearly any club slot on my 14 slot bag. I just put my sand wedge and 60* in a shared slot to free a shot on days it might rain. I've used it 5 or so times already and am VERY satisfied! Might have even saved me a few strokes as I'm definitely less concerned about wet grips. BTW Picture shows only one center hoop for support... mine has 3 or more so it is more dome shaped and less wedge shaped. Dome gives plenty of "elbow room" for my clubs.

Rain Wedge Review 3 Oct 2013
By Gary Root - Published on Amazon.com

The stiff wire that gives the rain wedge it's shape (one on each side) was not placed in the plastic tip that I believe is meant to keep the wire from penetrating the fabric. As a result, the Rain Wedge sags on one side and also scratches anyone who gets to close when trying to raise it up to remove a club. I ordered two of the Rain Wedges and couldn't be happier with the other one.

Rain Wedge Golf Bag Worked Perfectly 12 May 2012
By James Littlejohn - Published on Amazon.com

The Rain Wedge clips on easily, one large clip on each side of bag. It is easy to pull closed and then open to retrieve a club and, most importantly, it kept all my clubs, including the driver, perfectly dry.

Definitely worth serious consideration as part of your golf gear 13 July 2014
By Greg L - Published on Amazon.com
I have owned a rain wedge for several years and purchased a replacement because I apparently misplaced it somewhere. It is an excellent product on just about any type of bag such as cart bags or stand bags. . It is not designed to remain permanently attached to the bag. It is intended that the user remove it after the round or when the weather clears. If I had any criticism of the Rain Wedge it would be about its use on carry/stand bags when you are walking But on power carts and pull carts, regardless of the bag you own, it is a very useful product.
