Great, just what I needed, so I thought.
As I have tablets, I had become aware of different power requirements, ie greater than 1amp. This has annoyed me for some time, as I have found that you generally have to buy an original part to replace/have spare charger. I came to the conclusion that those currently rated above 2amp are from non branded companies which must have poor production standards, so I was really pleased to see this from Masterplug, a well respected brand. There was a big display in a local, large chain, DIY shop. I read all the description which clearly said 'charging all your USB devices', so I bought two.
Of course, you can guess what is coming. They wouldn't charge my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, my HP Touchpad or, to my amazement, my old iPhone 3GS. I telephoned MasterPlug who acknowledged that newer devices could not be charged, newer considered to be around the time the 3GS was released, albeit a few years ago. A great shame, as this would have been really useful, but as it is, it is useless and it doesn't even sound like Masterplug are going to resolve any time soon.
