This Masterplug Camping cable reel has been designed to provide two UK power sockets to your tent or caravan from the campsite’s hook-up point. It has a blue 2P+E plug that is used on most camp sites throughout the UK. A generous 15m cable length enables you to bring power where needed to your tent or caravan. The cable housing has two standard 230V UK power sockets for bringing power to your electrical devices as required.
These sockets are both IP54 Weatherproof UK rated with protective front covers and are ideal for outdoor use. The cable reel has an In line RCD (Residual Current Device) safety device for protection against electric shock. This cuts off electricity supply immediately in the case of a leakage of current to earth. Such leakages can occur when someone touches an appliance that is damp. This is particularly dangerous if the person is standing on damp ground, which can easily happen in a tent. This is a great product to hook up tents and campers, has a built in RCD that prevents any accidents and two weatherproof sockets in case of a wash out, much cheaper than the alternatives!

Just just what it needs to. Waterproof socket covers and RCD are invaluable!! For the money it is perfect and it is easy to store as it comes on a reel unlike some of the other competitors products.

I was impressed with the quality of product except it came with faulty RCD (but very quickly made up my good customer support team).
For the price, this unit comes with water proof socket covers (rubber sealing), if the plug is standard plug you can close the lid to make it water proof.
there is also RCD and other safety feature.
Most impressive thing is... when I have contacted the service team for faulty RCD, they asked me to send RCD unit itself with instruction on what to take note (ie. where different colored wire goes).
They have provided me with free post and they sent new RCD unit out in a retail package.
I must say that was one of the top class customer service I have experienced.
