This book is probably a good read for anyone who is trying to learn a little bit more than the average Lotus Notes user. the book is split into two main sections the first on using Notes R5 from a user point and the second on creating custom applications(includes Lotus script). I think the key audience for this book would be developers (new to Notes/DominoR5) and users that want that little bit more. All in a good read but I think it could do with a section on systems administration (sadly absent) just to fill the set

More than enough for the experienced beginner 29 Oct. 1999
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format: Paperback
If you have any exposure to Lotus Notes 5, but want to refine and expand your limited knowledge, then this title is for you. It is not meant for programming gurus, so if you're looking for something more in depth than creating simple databases, look somewhere else. For an overwhelmingly vast majority of people, this book is more than enough.

Good for beginners bad for developers 8 Jun. 1999
By - Published on
Format: Paperback
This book is well written and is a good read for thos people who have very little experience with any version of Notes. However it is a big big let down for developers. It has a small amount of application dev information with no mention of java agents or any other professional level information about creating Lotus Notes applications.
