A lawyer 13 Dec 2005
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This is an incredibly useful book for professionals involved in the preparation and negotiation of ISDA documentation. The overview of the Master Agreements is very clear (and helpfully set out) with legal and commercial issues being identified and addressed succinctly but in enough detail to be meaningful. On my desk the book comes into its own in its review of the negotiation of Schedules and, although it cannot cover off all possible counterparties or every issue on complex transactions, it is the best treatment of these documents I have come across. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic guide to navigating one's way through the Master Agreement. The book is written in clear, concise language which makes it easy for novices to understand, whilst at the same time providing a great deal of information to a more seasoned negoiater. This book is an excellent follow on to the course presented by the "Derivatives Documentation" team. I think this is an investment for ISDA Master Agreement negotiaters.

A good guide to ISDA MA 8 Jan 2008
By Kim Seong Min - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
If you are a law school student eager to be a finance lawyer, a lawyer practicing in the finance, or a businessman who deals with financial derivatives, you probably need to read this book to know what the ISDA MA and Schedule is. The ISDA MA and the relative documents family are a kind of very 'Specified' matters so it is hard to find some appropriate information via online even on Google. This book is suitable for someone who is interested in, or needs to know the wordings and statements used in financial derivatives field. This book uses easy English and easy phrases so that a foreign reader like me can read without difficulties. I would give 5 stars unless my book is incorrectly collated. The pages from 243 to 274 has gone. I have no idea whether it is just my problem or not. I recommend you to buy this book if you have enough luck to choose a normal one.

Useful but flawed textbook 29 July 2011
By Joan D. Elliott - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased this text specifically for a project I was involved in at my workplace. I was initially happy to discover a text that dealt directly with trading documentation. However, after using it I found some major gaps. One is the total lack of any information on the CSA (collateral support annex), which is very commonly included in ISDA documentation. There was a lot of repetition. Rather than analysing the 1992 agreement and then discussing changes in the 2002 agreement and their significance, the author went through the same basic analysis for both, which was redundant. The time and space would have been better spent on the CSA. It also could use a detailed index in order to make it a more valuable reference. Overall, a useful text, but not nearly as useful as it could have been, particularly considering how expensive a volume it is.

The book comes in with good condition. Thanks Amazon. This book is good for those novice and professional who works in the financial industry who require a good understanding on the terms of ISDA Mater Agreement. I would strongly recommend this book as the bible of ISDA Agreement.
