Excellent book for leaning kitchen techniques. Not a book for lots of recipes. We have loads of cook books but since we bought it we refer to it quite a lot.

I have a few books from the usual tv chef gallery, this one stands out head and shoulders, it's really is different gravy. There are good explanations of how to combine flavours and foods along with a guide to the equipment you should have in your kitchen. It is so much more than just a collection of recipes. The recipes are great though some of the stuff is too complex for me, I just don't want to spend that much time cooking. Most of it is perfectly reasonable though, I stick post-its on the pages where I will actually try the recipe and this book gets more post-its than any other cookbook I have. I have tried a good many of them already, including desserts, which I have not really tackled properly until now.

Now when I watch Master Chef I feel like I really understand what they are talking about.

Excellent starter book for those learning to cook, wanting to know more about cooking, anyone who wants to brush up on their kitchen skills or anyone who loves the show. Clear easy read. Would make a great present for kids going off to University who want to survive on something more than fast food!

About half of this book is devoted to explaining about types of meat, fish, how to fillet fish and cut up chicken, etc. The remaining recipe section has a handful ofMasterChef Kitchen BibleMasterChef Kitchen Bible lovely looking recipes from the Master chef finalists, and it has some good other basic recipes, but I suspect that you would find the basic recipes in any of their other books.

This is certainly a Cook's Bible, filled with fantastic instructions and recipes from the Masterchef series. This would be an excellent book for people of all skill levels, the layout is fantastic with clear pictures and instructions - no kitchen should be without it.

Bought as a gift for my 22 year old daughter who loves it. Basic recipes which work, explanations , descriptions and text which is easy to read and understand . A decently priced first book which is a good one to have for anyone who is beginning to become interested in cooking as more than a means to eat!

Love the series and love this book which has lot's of recipes that you'll want to make.

Only slight gripe is that some of them need decent planning. I have a relatively healthy store cupboard of ingredients however I am off to the shops regularly to get the necessary ingredients for some of these recipes.
