This book isn't badly written but the 'plot' (pirate kidnaps rich woman) is very weak. The central characters fluctuate far too frequently to be credible, they do not engender any feelings of sympathy and lack any real depth.
If you're looking for something fairly shallow and easy to plow though this may be for you; the idea of being whisked away by a dangerous rogue is undoubtably appealing. If you want sheer indulgence and escapism I would choose something else.
