Carries On From The Brilliant "Paranoid" and Now in MLPS Format?

"Paranoid" will always be my favourite Sabbath album but this album is surely a close second. It seems to be leftover tracks that didn't make it on to "Paranoid" but I don't mean it in a negative way because these tracks are very good and perhaps could have been released on "Paranoid" as a double album without sounding out of place despite Tony Iommi tuning down his guitar on this album to help him play after his accident that injured the fingers on his playing hand. The changed tuning had a great deal to do with the more sludgy and heavier metal sound that we get here. Another thing to note is the excellent production of this album as the sound quality is excellent making this a great candidate for SACD treatment for the audiophiles that are out there. The album is short though as it barely passes the 35 minute mark but what a great album as great track after great track seem to flow nicely one after the other. The mini-lp replica sleeve release (mlps) is a strange one though as it is unlike any other mlps release that I've seen coming in a sort of cardboard box which makes me wonder if the original vinyl release was really like this? Included is a hard square cardboard to help keep the shape of the cardboard box as well as a colour poster of the band and an insert containing all the lyrics in both English and Japanese.
Ignoring the strange "mlps" box, the great sound quality and the great content makes this release an excellent addition to your metal sonic library.

This Japanese mini-lp replica version of Black Sabbath album is simply a work of art! Very beautifully designed with all the lyrics included and with a sound quality remastered to perfection.
This 2007 Universal/Strange Days reissue is by far the best version of this album that is out there; great sound quality, great packaging, great songs! A must have in any CD collector's library.
