1.0 out of 5 stars What a piece of Junk! 11 May 2008
I got this DVD because I remember the TV series from the 80's with some fondness & figured that this would be a couple of episodes strung together to form a movie. In fact this disc contains 2 episodes (one of them is the pilot) playing one after the other complete with credits.

Extras - None, not even an "interactive menu". If you want to watch the second you have to fast worward through the first.

Picture quality - Imagine trying to see someone dressed in black in a dark room with your eyes closed. It looks as if the episodes have been transfered direct from a fan's 20 year old VHS tape complete with tracking lines, scratch marks, picture freezes, blurred colours and variable quality soundtrack.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cut version, terrible quality 15 Jan 2010

Turns out this is the cut UK version of the series. Lets face it, the story lines of this series were never much good, and all we wanted to see was the martial arts action so it is disappointing that the action is cut - you know the score, no throwing stars, no nunchaka etc. Many dvd releases of martial arts movies are now uncut, so i have no idea why this one was not.

the quality is awful. I appreciate its a video to dvd conversion, but my old vhs was never as jerky as this! It jumps and stutters, and combined with the overall grainy quality does not make for good viewing.

The last point to note is that there is no menu on the disc, so when you want to get to episode 2 you have to fastforward through the whole thing, which is annoying.

Its such a shame about this. I loved the series when I was a kid and am suprised that no remastered box set of the entire series has been released.

By Maureen
i have not yet bought the dvd yet i love this series and didnt know it was available on dvd. why is it the there is only 2 episodes on one disk it will cost a fortune buying them this way. i think the series should be restored properly to dvd and sold as a set with one series in a set.
