Book Description

1 Sep 2008
When vampire hunter Eden Faveau mistakes Laurent, a renegade vampire of Tribe Manticore, for her new partner, he's not about to correct her. He's stolen a laptop full of sensitive files from the Tribe leader, Justinian, and needs help cracking the encryption. At first he wants sexy and intelligent Eden only for her computer wizardry -- but soon he wants her for much, much more. Working by night and growing closer every day, Laurent and Eden struggle with the passion that threatens to overwhelm them. But when Justinian captures Eden, and Laurent proves his loyalty to his Tribe in the most shocking of ways, Eden vows to kill Laurent for his deception. Can he find a way to prove his love for her before a full-on war breaks out between vampires and humans?

5.0 out of 5 stars REDEMPTION FOR 'BAD BOY 'VAMPIRE LAURENT 3 Feb 2006
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This is Laurents story, the rebellious Manticore Tribe vampire seen in I Hunger for you. Susan Sizemore combines her trademark fast paced narrative style with some red-hot love scenes in a book you won't want to put down.
Eden Faveau is from a long line of Vampire Hunters. She has never before taken on the role of hunter , and would rather be climbing volcanoes, but when she is called to action, she reluctantly obeys. Her family send her on an assignment to meet Sid Wolf, a Clan Prime, in order to fight the vicious Tribe vampires who are using a new drug called Dawn. It allows vampires to tolerate daylight, a worrying new development since previously, the only vampires who had access to daylight drugs were Clan and Family members; both groups are governed by strict rules designed to protect humans and vampires alike, unlike the Tribes, who see humans as strictly prey. So when a tall, blond and beautiful vampire turns up and fights the tribe vampires who ambush their meeting, she naturally assumes he is Sid Wolf.
Laurent, ever the opportunist, is happy to play along. He is on the run from Justinian, the leader of Tribe Manticore, with a laptop containing access to the Manticore's fortune. Unfortunately, he is not computer literate, but soon realises that Eden has the skills to unlock the laptop's secrets and make him very rich.
Eden takes Laurent to a safe house, whilst they track down the Dawn dealers. She has been warned about the fatal allure of vampires, and is on her guard, but soon the vampire Prime is getting underneath her skin and challenging her lifeheld beliefs about vampires. Things are not what they seem, and the electric attraction she finds increasing hard to fight is not her only problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Vampire hit! 9 Feb 2006
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I enjoyed reading the first three books in the authors new series about Vampires, and looked forward to reading this book.
The main character is Laurent, a rather unheroic hero. He was a secondary character in the last of Sizemores` books, and I`m glad he has has become the lead here as he is quite different from her previous Vampire heroes. He is not noble, but takes advantage of being in the right place at the right time. His reluctant attraction to the Vampire hunter, Eden, is fun to read.
Sizemore has now created a well developed world where there are different kinds of creatures of the night, who live with and interact with their Human counterparts. You don`t have to read the other books, but there are a few references that make more sense if you have.I liked the way that there is a little more humour in this book, and it is a little different, in that Laurents first instincts are not always those you expect from the Primes of the previous books.
Sizemore is an author who is getting better as the series goes on, so I am already looking forward to the next book.

Format:Mass Market Paperback
this is the fourth book in the primes series but i havent read any of the previous books and i still enjoyed it. does very well as a stand alone book because i didnt feel there was much back story that you needed to know. great chemistry between the two main characters and the story was quite easy to follow.
