The price is reasonable and delivery is free. The bulb is strong and appears durable. The tube is long, making it safe to reach deep into the oven. It is metal and should survive the heat and any little kitchen accident.
The baster was first used to inject butter oil into the meat. After removing the pointed nozzle, pan juices were drawn up for basting. The finished roast was moist and delicious. The baster was easy to take apart and wash.
All in all, a very useful item.

I got this as a replacement after my glass one was broken (so I went for sturdy this time!) and while it's not a bad baster in it's own right, I don't think it's as good to use as my previous one. The up side is that it's not going break anytime soon and it looks nicer that the old one, but on the down side the control of the basting isn't as good and the little injector attachment doesn't quite screw on, so fluid comes through a bit arouns the seal. Nothing major really wrong with it and for the money is a pretty good buy.

Easy to clean, handsome and strong... what else does a cook need? I was impressed by it's capacity and the contol I had using the bulb. Excellent!

Makes for a better roast
The baster is well made and seems rather robust. We used it primarily with the injector to baste, as well as inject meat juices into the roast. Read more

Hard to clean, pick up only some liquid

Steel baster
Stainless steel baster is ideal and I use this to take meat juice from below the fat which I use to make gravy, I would recomened this item.
