This tray does not work very well for making macaroons (french style) as despite being non-stick, they do stick to the bottom and then break when trying to get them out. Greaseproof paper worked much better. It is likely that for macaroons, it would work if you grease the tray but it's not ideal for meringue. I'm sure it's fine for small muffins or whoopie-pies.

This tray is perfect for making bite sized Whoopies, and you can get 12 out of one tray. Spray each hole with oil and the Whoopies fall out easily. A really solid tray, the non-stick coating is excellent. I ordered just 1 in case it wasn't good, just ordered another as I was washing and re-using this all the time.
Tried macarons today: it's not good for them, the 'feet' go up the side, and they stick pretty badly too.
So stick to re-usable greaseproof for macarons, but this tray is fantastic for Whoopies!

The tin arrived next day and I'm very pleased with it. It's very heavy and excellent quality. All my whoopie pies came out perfect, no sticking at all - obviously I greased the tin before use. I was so suprised at how small and shallow the holes are but it produced wonderful, uniform whoopie pies.
