i enjoyed this book, which was written in plain english! i would have liked more detailed descriptions on the various massage techniques, but overall a usefull book to have whether you're training to become a therapist or just want to do something nice for your horse!

This is a very useful book,describing key massage areas, types of massage techniques for the horse, rider, and giver of the massage, but there are a few anatomical terms in the text. I found the 'Hands on with Mary' Bromiley DVD complimented this book very well.. Having watched the DVD, the book made easier reading

I have been performing (and continually learning) massage for a couple of years now and thoroughly recommend this book. Not only does it discuss anatomy and a wide variety of massage techniques but it also goes into passive stretching and provides numerous excellent photos and diagrams.
Importantly this book shows right vs wrong when it comes to many stretches or techniques and this is a book that you can constantly dip into again and again to gain new insights.
