5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent practical guide on massage and development, 10 Oct 2001
By A Customer
I found this book extremely helpful. Explanations are clear and concise. Sketches really help visualise how to do it. Really helpful if you are wanting to give it a go but you are not sure where to start or whether you are doing things correctly. The chapters on development are very good too. You can go through each stage of your baby's development and check very simply whether the baby is ready to move on to the next stage. There is good advice on what you can do to help promote good posture while sitting and walking. Really helpful if you do not know where to start!

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to follow, 22 Mar 2009

This review is from: Baby Massage (Essential Childcare) (Paperback)
Although I found myself giving my son some massages instinctively I felt this book would be beneficial to pick up some additional tips. It is easy to follow with age specific sections and the photographic illustrations are really easy to follow. It also has a useful section on common ilnesses and other conditions for example premature babies or those with other special needs. A good buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book!, 25 July 2007
By Sheri L. Walker - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Baby Massage: A Practical Guide to Massage and Movement for Babies and Infants (Paperback)
I bought several books on massage for babies and Peter Walker (no relation) is by far the best writer on the subject. This book also includes flexibity exercises that babies love to do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical, convincing and simple to follow, 15 Sep 2009
By Kazakh "Shinar" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Baby Massage: A Practical Guide to Massage and Movement for Babies and Infants (Paperback)
Love the book. I read it first from cover to cover, then started using just the massage instructions. I massage our 7-month baby boy every morning using the grapeseed oil just as the author recommends. My boy loves the massage, he's become very flexible, and he is about to sit. I consult the book and refresh my memory every now and then, and it helps not to forget the important details. Sometimes I combine some play into the massage session to keep my baby interested.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK color photographs and drawings, 3 Sep 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Book of Baby Massage: For a Happier, Healthier Child (Paperback)
Let me make it clear that I was -- and am -- looking for a beautiful book containing beautiful photographs about baby massage -- a book to promote baby massage in a extremely visually appealing way. With that in mind, and the fact that I haven't read the actual text of the book closely: the book is illustrated with 24 color photographs and numerous color pencil drawings. The reproduction quality is only ok. This is the best photographic book about baby massage I've found so far, but I haven't stopped looking.
