Product Description

Product Description

Mason Cash have been producing beautiful, functional, iconic kitchenware for over 200 years. The origins of Mason Cash can be traced back to a pottery operating at Church Gresley in the heart of England around 1800. Famed for classic kitchenware designs such as the Mason Cash mixing bowl and pudding basins, the products and brand have endured the test of time and have become design icons. In fact, some designs have barely altered for over a hundred years.

Every item within the Mason Cash range has been specifically designed and developed with the modern day requirements and expectations of our customers in mind. Whilst many of the Mason Cash items have retained their original English design features, a number of products have developed a contemporary twist, from incorporating additional colours or patterns to progressing a modern interpretation of the original design. Up to date processes are also used to ensure items fulfill all user requirements

Hedgehogs All In A Row! 6 Aug. 2014

I purchased this bowl to replace an old one I broke that I had had for years, and this fills the bill. It is light but not flimsy, a very useful size, rich green color, and the design with hedgehogs around the bottom is simply adorable. Affordable price too, and as always, great Amazon service.

Love the bowls 25 Sept. 2014

Love the bowls. Love the patterns. But beware that using an electric beater in this bowl will cause heavy marking on the inside from the impact of the beaters. Best for hand mixing. It was disappointing that the beaters left such significant markings.
Love this bowl 13 Oct. 2014

This is an excellent all-around mixing bowl that is especially nice to use when making bread dough by hand and putting it to rise. I wanted something nicer than a stainless steel bowl and I think the stoneware helps the bread proof in that it keeps it warmer so it rises more evenly. I won't be using electric beaters with this as I don't believe it's heavy-duty enough to take that kind of wear and tear and I don't want to mark up the inside with metal utensils. For what it's worth, and I know this is important to many people, my bowl had a sticker that says it was made in Portugal.
Smashed but Pretty 29 Jan. 2015

Well, other than the fact that this item was broken severely when it arrived, I would have loved it.
And it seems that this might have been one of the last ones with the owls on it :(
Disappointed much, but the bowl itself was lovely as I would have imagined had it been in one piece.
It did seem a bit on the fragile side however, not like the big heavy old mixing bowls of old.
Mixed feelings, UPDATE crack on bottom of bowl after a few months use 18 Dec. 2014

I have mixed feelings on these items. I love the images of the hedgehogs/foxes (bought two bowls) but the weight/feel of them is not what I expected at all. I feel like I need to be extra careful with them. They are pretty colors and the images are clear. I guess I expected more heft from them based on the reputation of the company. They do make me smile when I look at them. That is something I guess.

UPDATE 12/31/14: Since my review on Dec. 18 2014 the foxes bowl has developed a fracture on the bottom of the bowl. It was used only for proofing bread (letting dough rise in a warm area) and hand washed. So, extra care aside it is destined for the display shelf now. Unfortunately, I am past the 30 day return window. For 40 dollars I expect more then three months of usefulness.
