By the time the woman's body is discovered in Kate Creech's bath it is beyond recognition - not surprising as Kate has been away on tour for seven weeks. Summoned back to London by Detective Inspector John Bright, Kate finds her home is a gruesome crime scene. She does not recognise the body, cannot guess why someone should have been using her house in her absence and has an unshakeable alibi. Perhaps she was the intended victim?
