This is very good indeed, and a true bargain at this price. I think it's better than the Tebaldi version (despite the presence of Bjorling on that version), which is also available from Amazon mp3 at the same price. The conducting is superb - each bar is perfectly phrased, and the orchestra is in fine voice. As also is Callas, combining dynamic singing with passionate voice-acting. However, not everyone warms to Callas's voice (a bit harsh - expressive, but not beautiful) - perhaps it's an acquired taste (but at this price, you can afford to acquire it). Sound-quality is good or above, but obviously not up to present-day standards.
