Inspirational ! 28 Jan 2012
Format:Hardcover
As a novice potter, desperate to find a good glaze recipe, I'm surrounded by books and a wealth of advice.I have endured the misery of one failed experiment after another. This book came as a lifeline. In it the author comments on her 3 year search for a well-fitting glaze. She was right. The book inspires you to 'go for it' and is written in a down to earth, straightforward fashion.Am so grateful to Mary for sharing her wisdom through this book and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone out there on the same intriguing journey.

Filled with photography of fine wares 21 Mar 2002
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Mary Wondrausch On Slipware is the revised reprint of Ms. Wondrausch's informative discourse on the history of slipware, from its creation to its development, marketing, and the many techniques and solidly practical applications involved. Filled with photography of fine wares, Mary Wondrausch On Slipware is a lavish and thoughtful presentation of wares as art, and very highly recommended for anyone with an interest in seeing and learning about practical wares preserved through history. Mary Wondrausch On Slipware is ideal as a Memorial Fund acquisition selection for academic and community libraries.
