Mary Bell's book is an excellent reference for the dehydrator user. She includes information for dehydrating fruits, vegetables, meats, and even herbs and flowers. The recipe section tells you how to put it all together and includes recipes for main dish treats, sweet treats, backpacking treats, and even pet treats.

I bought this expecting to get some information on recipes using dehydrated foods.. but all the recipes call for reconsitution through cooking! There aren't any raw recipes so if you're are looking for those look elsewhere. I can recommend Kate Wood's books... she has a raw breakfast cereal recipe in Raw Magic with dehydrated sprouted buckwheat that I'm addicted to. and her Olive Ciabbata bread I take to work and it's devoured by all the non-raw foodies...

If you want to dehydrate for camping etc then this is fine - if you are dehydrating for a raw food life style there are more appropriate books out there.
