...all contained in one book. As I've already reviewed the first 4 Marvel Encyclopedia's (Universe, X-Men, Hulk, Spiderman) I thought I better do this one as well.

First of Marvel have included a small section devoted to the movies (Daredevil, Punisher) which IMO should have been left out - most comic fans only have a passing interest in the flicks and would rather have more pics of their fav characters.

This volume contains alot of information on the characters that make up the Marvel Knights roster (Daredevil, Punisher, Blade, Ghost Rider and Elektra) and includes a few pages detailing the main characters and then smaller sections to talk about the "lesser" characters (it works quite well). Sadly characters I thought were in the "Knights" label (Cloak & Dagger, Dr. Strange, Black Panther) only seem to get passing glances and not the full history/character bios they deserve (thats why the book only gets 4/5).

Its still a much needed book for any Marvel fan and I cant wait for the next edtion of the Encyclopedia.

One quick note, the recently added "Knights Books" (as of May 2004). like X-Statix and Wolverine DO NOT get a mention in this book!
