This album was released in 1991 in the US under Boy George, The Martyr Mantras, under the Virgin America label. That was a shame, since I also hold the original version as well, which came out in 1990 under not Boy George, but Jesus Loves You--- The Martyr Mantras, under George's own label, More Protein. Just count on Boy George to name a group like that. And I love him for it. The album is so deep and powerful, it's hard to believe it was not commercial universally. "Generations of Love", "One On One", and "Loves Gonna Let You Down" are dark and powerful messages from George. They even make you think about life. The song that even makes you think more is "After the Love". It is brilliant, just brilliant. The best song, and it can be so true in all of us is the masterpiece "I Specialize In Loneliness". We also get to her Amos's, (AKA Captain Crucial's) voice in the background in moments of the song. Boy George dominates the world with this tune. You will agree after hearing it. Thanks for reading.
