Product Description

Product Description
After making his name as Doyle in "The Professionals" in the 1970s, Martin Shaw's career has gone from strength to strength. Now the star of the BBC hit drama, "Judge John Deed", Martin is also currently treading the boards on the London stage in "A Man for All Seasons". One of Britain's most popular and versatile actors, Martin has played over one hundred television roles as well as a host of distinguished and critically acclaimed lead theatrical parts. Based on a series of interviews and recollections from famous friends, relatives and co-stars of both stage and screen, this is a revealing and honest portrait of the notoriously reluctant but hugely popular star.

He has also written for a wide range of magazines and worked in television and radio.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good actor,good book, 1 Sep 2006

This is written in a chatty style. You can dip in to A&E,Judge John Deed,Childhood or any chapter at will.I like that in a biography,This is both interesting and well written. There are private photos so you see Martin relaxed and not posing. If you know a fan of Mr Shaw this is the perfect gift.It is really a good read and not formal or anything like that, just a good book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just boring, 22 Sep 2008

Just boring. Mr Shaw seems to be Mr. Perfect. Great. So what? I unfortunately did expect more self-reflection in an autobiography... Nobody can be that perfect - not even he.
