Martin's guitar is the star.,

This review is from: Martin Kershaw With the Beatles Philharmonic Orchestra: a Tribute to the Beatles (Audio CD)
This is exactly how you expect it to be. IF you know the work of Martin Kershaw, that is. Despite the small lettering on the front cover, he's very much the 'star' here, and he's a guitarist, so each track does feature guitar in a major way. It's not, therefore, as sweepingly orchestral as you might wish. Worth getting though. Certainly worth the price tag. Kershaw, as the inner sleeve will tell you, is a very well established musician, and has worked with many legendary names, over many years. My favourite pieces here are 'Back In The USSR', 'Something', and 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' (beautiful). But there's nothing terrible. An album that definitely DOESN'T shame the great name of The Beatles. Truly EASY listening. And I mean that in a GOOD way!
