This is a beautifully produced book and full of interesting stuff for guitar nuts like myself. However it is called a 'Technical Reference'and with my guitar maker's hat on, was expecting some dimensional information, in addition to the usual serial number and history data.

THE BEST YET 10 April 2009
Format:Hardcover
AFTER PURCHASING BOTH BOOKS AND READING BOOK ONE FIRST "MARTIN GUITARS A HISTORY" AND STATING THAT I THOUGHT THAT BOOK WAS GREAT ! THEN BOOK TWO
IS SOMETHING ELSE. THE WEIGHT, AND FEEL TOGETHER WITH THE GREAT LAYOUT OF THIS BOOK GAVE ME THE CONFIDENCE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED WHEN YOU OPEN IT UP.

THE LAYOUT,TECHNICAL REFERENCE AND THE PHOTOGAPHIC CONTENTS MAKES THIS A BOOK I DID NOT WANT TO PUT DOWN, MAKING IT AN IDEAL COFFEE TABLE BOOK. ANY MARTIN ENTHUSIAST OR MARTIN COLLECTOR WILL BE SMITTEN I AM SURE.
WELL DONE RICHARD & DICK - THANKS FOR A VERY PLEASURABLE BOOK

By RR Waller TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Hardcover
CF Martin owners tend to be a club who know what they like. Put them in a music shop, like Vintage and Rare (Bath or Denmark Street, London), Hanks (Denmark Street) or Farnham's Guitar Village and they are in paradise, speaking a language of their own (when they're speaking rather than playing).

Buying a new guitar (or just popping in to try a few for the future) can be a life-changing moment not to be taken lightly. This book is an excellent companion for Martin owners and prospective buyers.

This is a comprehensive and thoroughly enjoyable book for the enthusiasts in which they will see many of the great Martins and the developments and extensions of their designs, as well as details of their body types, serial numbering system, thre technical details of guitar production and everything else needed to appreciate the guitars.

An excellent read.
