I enjoyed this book as a I design cakes myself so appreciate it from that
angle. Plenty of different ideas, but you must take into consideration these are american style cakes and their approach to design is very different to that here in the U.K. Cakes are constructed in a very different manner - often on site! Great as design source for established cake decorators looking for extra inspiration and who have the ability to adapt the ideas to take into account materials available here. Certainly not a "How to" book for the novice cake decorator looking to make their own wedding cake. More a "browsing" coffee table book.

I adore this book. It is full of beautiful photos of stunning cakes. The book starts out with a chapter that details the planning necessary to decide on the cake and it's components. Then an album of over 110 cakes, all visually stunning, utterly edible yet too beautiful to cut at the same time. The final section is the 'how to ' section. My one gripe is that the individual pictures of the cakes are not accompanied by details as to how to recreate them at home. While this is not a book for the novice baker it is a source of inspiration for any one who loves cake.

Cor blimey! This is one seriously sexy book... I agree it's more a reference book for inspiration rather than a recipe book, (although it does have several recipes and icing techniques included!) but even so it is absolutely beautiful. Seriously stunning photos of lots of incredible cakes, and worth the slightly high price. Perfect as a reference tool for experienced bakers, or as a source of inspiration for prospective brides/grooms.

A Wonderful & Inspiring Book for Browsing
This is a really fabulous book. It isn't a step by step guide like some, but is full of beautiful cakes, flawlessly executed with plenty of great tips, techniques and recipes. Read more

Beautiful cakes...
A great book for inspiration. Not for learners though. I love this book though with great photos of wedding cakes and some detailed instruction on some of the cakes.
