Product Description

Product Description

Cameron Paradise, a stunningly beautiful twenty-four-year-old personal trainer, flees Hawaii and her champion-surfer husband, Gregg, in the middle of one of his abusive tirades and makes her way to L.A. Tall, blond, with a body to die for, it doesn't take Cameron long to find a job at an exclusive private fitness club where she encounters LA's most important players. She has plans to open her own studio one day, and while every man she meets comes on to her, she is more focused on saving money and working hard than getting caught up in the L.A. scene of wild parties and recreational drugs. Until she meets Ryan Lambert, an extremely successful independent movie producer. Ryan is married to overly privileged Mandy Lambert, the daughter of Hamilton J. Heckerling, a Hollywood power-player son-of-a-bitch mogul. Ryan has never cheated on his demanding Hollywood Princess wife, but when he meets Cameron, all bets are off, especially since she's seeing his best friend Don Verona, the devastatingly attractive talk-show-host and legendary player. In her latest sizzling blockbuster, internationally bestselling author Jackie Collins explores what happens when lust and desire collide with marriage and power-and the results lead to murder.

3.0 out of 5 stars Chick lit as it should be - perfect for holidays!, 22 Jun 2009
This review is from: Married Lovers (Paperback)
If you buy Jackie Collins then you know what you're going to get so is this predictable - absolutely - is that a criticism - absolutely not! This is perfect escapism for holidays or a rainy weekend. Easy to get into, harder to put down. Will it win literary awards - of course not. Are the characters believable - no. But do you really want that in a Jackie Collins? My advice - stretch out on your sunlounger with a cool cocktail or curl up on the sofa with a glass of wine, open & enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Ends before it begins!, 5 Jan 2009
By Zappakins (London) - See all my reviews
I have been an avid reader of Collins for ten years and am usually full of praise for her work, but this book fell far below her usual standard and I was left very disappointed by it. It is very repetitive and far too predicatble. Also the ending is very abrupt and I was left very un-satisifed by it... Not vintage Collins I'm afraid

3.0 out of 5 stars Top quality cheap trash!!
It's lightweight and slightly predictable. But it's what you expect from a Jackie Collins book and it's a simple easy read for some escapism

5.0 out of 5 stars Sheer Joy
I have been a fan, ever since i can remember, but then lost interest when she started writing books that were becoming predictable and boring. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A slow burner...
Slow to get going but warms up a treat. It's the usual LA story of back-stabbing and ambition, but its done with aplomb. JC at the top of her game.

3.0 out of 5 stars not bad
This book is very much the same as the last 4 books. I feel like i have read it before. The ending feels very rushed but i did still quite like it.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read
Typical Jackie Collins book. They all tend to merge in together (except the Santangelo books). If you like Jackie Collins then this lives up to the rest, but not very memorable.
