I spent a week in the Lake district and wanted a good make of jacket, rainproof, nice style and colour. I sent for two well known
makes and chose the Marmot Vagabond jacket in berry rose. I did find that I needed to wear a jumper underneath rather
then summer clothing so if you were wearing this jacket in cold weather you would defiantly need the matching fleece that goes
with this jacket

Perfect! 16 April 2013

I've been looking for the perfect raincoat/jacket for a couple of years and this is it! It is lightweight, I can fit a micro fleece underneath for added warmth. I also bought the Marmot fitted micro fleece for this purpose from Sierra Trading. It is somewhat fitted and looks great too. Perfect to wear with a skirt or pants. The hood is fabulous and has pulls to stay on. Great snap pockets round out this jacket. If you want a roomier fit order a larger size. However, I usually take a size small and this is not different.
I am 5'4" and weigh 110 lbs.

Too tight shoulders and narrow arms 6 Feb 2012
By Lydia - Published on Amazon.com
Colour Name: BlackSize Name: Large Verified Purchase
It was small in the shoulders and way to tight in the arms, even with only a t shirt underneath. I fit a medium, but even this coat in an XL was too tight to fit another layer under and then way too big everywhere else.

Great Rain Jacket 8 Oct 2011

I love this jacket. It's light, but breaks the wind well, and it works really well in the rain. It's also not so technically styled that I can't wear it with work clothes (I dress up for work). Very, very pleased.

expensive but worth it 17 Oct 2013
By mg New York - Published on Amazon.com
I am 5'2", 110-115 lbs 36B and the XS fits nicely - roomy enough to fit a fleece or sweater under but not terribly baggy alone. It comes almost to my knees Like most of my marmot things, this jacket is well made and had superb detail. It has a brushed inner layer on the collar so that it doesn't irritate your skin. all the seams are covered or taped - including the pockets, which have a flap and a zipper on the outer pockets. there are also inner pockets - one zip close and one with tab closure. This is lined with a silky polyester, but the lining is very tightly and well sewn in, so there is no bunching and it helps to slide on over clothes. This is a lighter weight jacket - which is what I was looking for - for spring and fall - it will certainly block the wind and rain, but not the cold, although if you layer it works for almost all but the coldest weather. It is not as sleek and stylish as my merrel geraldine jacket, but it doesn't look like tech gear and is suitable for all but the most dressy occasions. It is very breathable for a really waterproof jacket - so when you are walking fast or dragging luggage around you don't overheat. The only downside is that according to the measurements given it should have come slightly below my knees, which is what I was looking for. This is not a cheap purchase, but it will last and is very versatile.
Update - Nov 2013 after one month
I get so many compliments when I wear this - the blue is a really lovely deep cobalt that goes with everything. I should have gotten a small though and I could have worn it in all but the very coldest of weather with a layer. With just a long sleeve shirt it is perfect, but if I put a fleece or sweater under it, movement is very restricted.

More lavender than grey! 7 Jun 2013

I love this jacket. I wore it on vacation and it was perfect. The hood detaches. I originally ordered the XL based on another customer's comment but it was way too big. The Large will go over another jacket but is not too big to wear alone. The color is pretty -- it is fitted and it comes down above your knees to keep you dry in the rain. You can roll it up and stick it in your purse -- always looks great.
