Style Rules if that is you want 30 Oct. 2012
By Jacques Lebeau - Published on Amazon.com
This is within the Marmot quality which is why you pay more for the brand. Waterproof, warm, not bulky, good secure pockets, looks good. What more could you ask for? Well, if you are comfortable wearing just a shirt underneath, better yet, no shirt,if you choose, it will be a perfect fit. If you, like I do, in the winter months like to layer in other warm clothes like a sweater or a vest when the temperature drops, this will strap you in like secure seat belt. The Hampton parka was not designed for layering. It is simply too tight, very stylish but too constricting, especially in the sleeves. What you see in this model photo is accurate. Too bad. I sent the jacket back. At least I saved a few bucks and bought a less expensive parka with a little more breathing room.

The jacket is warm but light weight. The waterproof zippers are a definite plus and give the jacket a sleek look.
Good Fit. Perfect blend between style and practicality for snow sports. 20 Nov. 2013

I wanted a jacket that would be stylish and practical for everyday use in the city combined with the occasional use for skiing. The jacket looks just as good as it does in the pictures. I have skied a lot and i know that this jacket is more than practical enough for advanced off-piste skiing. It has great water proofing abilities which is just as good as any decent ski jacket. Unlike one of the previous reviews, i find that this jacket is not tight at all. I got the large and i'm 6'3, broad shouldered and quite built. The jacket allows for a full range of motions and is not constricting at all. Its a warm jacket which is good for walking or standing around in really cold weather. But its not so warm that you will be too hot on the majority of days skiing/boarding. Somehow, the jacket also has a much softer, comfortable exterior than most ski jackets which is great because the scratchy noise and feel of most ski jackets can be annoying for everyday use. It has heaps of pockets on the inside and outside, great for storing: phone, camera, map, sunglasses, gloves etc. I'm ecstatic that i finally found a warm, stylish, everyday jacket that doubles up as a ski jacket.
