The Marmitek Control Anywhere remote control receiver works in combination with Marmitek remote controls which are equipped with a radio frequency (RF) transmitter such as the Marmitek EasyControl 8, the Marmitek EasyTouch 35 and the Marmitek PC remote. It works by receiving the RF signals (which can pass through walls and ceilings) from the remote control and converting them into infrared signals (which can't pass through walls and ceilings) allowing you to control your audio visual equipment at a distance, even from another room. If your equipment is hidden away in a cupboard then you simply connect the 'Marmitek RX570 infrared extender triple' (included) to the Control Anywhere and you can control the equipment without having to open the cupboard doors.
