I read this book over a couple of days and then went back through, working through the excercises and suggestions. There is enough information, suggestions and references to keep someone going for quite a while. The information is presented in a deceptively simply manner - breaking down essential parts of marketing into easy, stepwise exercises. I would recommend this to anyone who is running their own small/medium business or about to start up.
I've bought several other books to try and get a handle on marketing and this is by far the most comprehensive and useful.

I find the book very readable; the tone is friendly so the lessons are accessible.I am currently working through, making notes relevant to my venture, as suggested and generating ideas along the way. Theory is tempered with experience and humour. For a novice like me it's like rocket science made easy.

I read this book over the bank holiday weekend and was very impressed. For someone like me who has been running a small business for ten years now it's really useful to read something like this to jog your memory, give you ideas and get focused again. Many of the books I have read over the past ten years on this subject are full of jargon and hard work to get through. This was completely the opposite. I'd recommend it to any small business.
