A hybrid book, balancing between marketing theory (old fashioned marketing, Kotler style) and very practical tricks and tips. Lacks a deeper understanding of the role and functions of art in our society and fails to distinguish properly between 'producers' of culture and 'distributors'. Has got some very good moments, and some very shaky ones...

I borrowed it from local university library and didn't have a high expectation, I thought it was just one of the arts marketing book. But I was really amazed by the thinking of Dr. Kolb in her book, her view about cultural consumer is really refreshing! I enjoyed every minute of reading and it made me laugh all the time, it is truly brave to write a book like this. As one of the "culture consumer", after entire day's work on my master thesis, this book have brought me a relax time and encouraged me to explore some new ideas for my thesis. I truly admire Dr. Kolb's achievement, I highly recommend this book to every art manager!!!
