Renown rock Journalist, Wall was a huge fan of Marillion at their commerical peak in the mid to late eighties and this biography relects his enthusiam. It was (at the time) thourugh and well researched, and the quality of the souce material set it aside from the cheap cash ins that were avialable at the time.
However, with the terms authorised also comes a degree of sanitisation and certian key issues such as the drink and drug use (or misuse depending on your point of view) are neatly side stepped.
As a little trip down memory lane of how they once were MSH is a fairly good account of Marillion, however sadly it ends just as the marillion story gets really interesting- the fall outs the court cases, the departure of fish and the arrival of Hogarth...
