About the Author
Rachel Allen is a busy TV chef, mother, and teacher at the world-famous Ballymaloe Cookery School. She is the author of five cookery books, including bestsellers "i"Rachel's Favourite Food at Home, Rachel's Food for Living"/i" and "i"Bake"/i". Her extremely popular cooking programmes have been broadcast on RTE, the BBC, and also internationally.
Rachel lives in County Cork with her husband Isaac, their two sons and baby daughter, and their dog Buddy.
Matthew Fort is Food and Drink Editor of the ‘Guardian’. He has numerous awards including two Glenfiddichs. His family comes from the Ribble Valley.

I bought this book last week and really love it. So many different chefs and such a great choice of recipes - it's like having bought 30 books by different chefs. So far I've cooked three things - Matt Tebbutt's perfect roast beef, Tristan Welch's spiced pears with chocolate mousse and Jill Dupleix's glass noodles with salmon mint and lime - and I'm really looking forward to trying more of the recipes. Definitely recommended. I'm going to buy a copy for my mum too - she'll love it.

Being a fan of Market Kitchen I was very disappointed with the content of this cookbook,a lot of the dishes were not very family friendly,meats like wood pigeon and venison steaks and fish like crayfish and scallops (very,very expensive)would be out of the reach of most ordinary home cooks not only expense wise but actually being able to find some of the ingredients would be difficult,one dish I found good (except for the expensive scallops)was the 'really good fish pie',I also think there were too few illustrations to accompany some of the dishes,its always nice to see what the end product will look like.all in all very disappointing.

Purchased this book for my daughters birthday as she had seen my copy and was really impressed with the recipes. As her birthday was only 3 days away wrapped up mine as it was new but the ordered copy came within 2 days.

The book was very poorly made,not very good paper need more photos of recipes. Other then that not to bad.

good overall cook book
Easy to follow, but i tend to like to have a picture so i know what its meant to look like! very good for the money as i got it half price

My impression is that someone got the bright idea to make a few extra bob by getting so-called 'celebrity chefs' to contribute their cast-off recipes that wouldnt make it into... Read more

Great recipes
I have tried quite a few of the recipes and they are very good. The book is well illustrated and easy to follow. I particulary like the write up on the individual chefs. Read more
