In 2013 the much awaited The Story Behind... Too Much Punch For Judy was published. This offers the whole incredible story behind this incredible play (which has now been performed nearly 6000 times. The Drama Club is Mark's most recent book detailing the step by step account of how he made an extra curricular Drama Club very successful.
Graham; World's Fastest Blind Runner, which tells the true life story of one of Mark's best friends won Best Production in different national One-Act Play competitions two years in a row. One Million to STOP THE TRAFFIK, represented England in the British Finals of the One Act Play Competition 2010.
Mark has been commissioned by (amongst others) The Birmingham Rep, (Kill Jill) and the Haymarket Theatre Basingstoke (The Gate Escape). His most recent commission (2014) is to tell the tragic true story of Daniel Spargo-Mabbs who died as a result of taking the MDMA drug.
Together with Rachel, his wife, Mark wrote the stories for Tufty's Adventures and the twelve editions of the Tufty Tales comic (RoSPA 1994).
Plays such as Too Much Punch For Judy, Hard to Swallow, Legal Weapon and Missing Dan Nolan are listed by Edexcel as the most popular texts for study in GCSE Drama exams.
Mark works part-time at Oasis Academy Lord's Hill in Southampton as Executive Director of Arts/Director Oasis Youth Theatre and has 35 years teaching experience which are charted in his popular 2010 book Drama Schemes (Rhinegold). He also works as an educational consultant and offers freelance workshops to schools here and abroad.
Mark's plays are gradually being released on DVD including his award winning OYT production of Too Much Punch For Judy in 2013.
