Mark Turley

Mark Turley is a writer of both fiction and non-fiction from London (UK). He was born in 1972 to Welsh and German parents and has spent most of his adult life working in schools, colleges and prisons. His fiction tends to explore darker elements of the human pysche, in particular its capacity and tendency for violence. Crime and alienation are recurring themes, but these are often mixed with social commentary and subtle humour.
He also writes political history, especially that related to World War Two and its part in shaping the modern world, in which he explores issues of Empire, propaganda and manipulation. He remains suprised at how emotionally charged the subject is and awaits the time when a calmer political atmosphere leads to more balanced and rational discussion.
He is currently working on full-length projects in both genres. His short stories and poems can be found in various magazines and websites.
