Mark Patton (b 1965) was born in Jersey, studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge (1983-86) and completed his PhD at University College London (1990). In addition to his books on archaeological and historical topics, he has published widely in academic journals, including Antiquty, Oxford Journal of Archaeology, Archaeological Journal, Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society and Current Anthropology. He has taught at the Universities of Wales, Greenwich and Westminster, and currently teaches with the Open University.
