Mark Norton

Mark Norton was born in Ledbury in Herefordshire but grew up in Birmingham, the original home of his parents. In 2005 he set up a website - http://www.photobydjnorton.com/ - dedicated to displaying photographs taken by his late father. Initially focusing on pictures of Birmingham, this lead to the publication of his first book, 'Birmingham Past & Present: In My Father's Footsteps'. A fascination with the history of Birmingham developed and a follow up title, 'Birmingham Then and Now', was published in October 2010.

Mark works as a software developer in Birmingham city centre but lives in nearby Bromsgrove. He is a member of the Bromsgrove Society and is interested in many aspects of local history, particularly the preservation and enhancement of historic buildings.
