Product Description

Pro Mark started a trend when we introduced the original Hot Rods. Other companies have tried unsuccessfully to duplicate their unique sound and feel. When regular sticks are too loud and brushes too quient, Rods are just right. Available in seven sizes each with a unique sound, size and feel.

5.0 out of 5 stars great option 4 May 2012

these sticks are a great option if you need to keep the noise down a bit.
-and what drummer doesn't need that sometimes?

I buy for the balance and feel these sticks give.
-not too durable if you use rim shots a lot.

buy and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Snared! 29 Dec 2012

Never used these before, but now use them all the time.

A great feel and sound, around the kit, feel good when playing and give more freedom of movement because the grip feels firmer and you don't feel like you're going to lose your sticks during a more 'frenetic' piece of playing, far better than my 5A's.

It's hard to explain, but I feel more able and more confident when playing 'difficult' patterns using these dowel sticks and the sound is somehow 'richer'.

I can say, in all honesty, that my playing has improved using these and I've been playing for ten years.I'm amazed and I'd say purchase a pair and give them a go but sit back a bit as they have a life of their own!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pro Mark Hot rods 25 July 2012
I use these hot rods for most gigs. I have tried other makes of rods, but the Pro Mark's have, by far the best feel and balance. Put a piece of 'duck' tape across where the rod hits the drum rim and they will last twice as long.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Sound poor longevity 4 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase
Pair of dowel hots rods well after 2 weeks the rods are starting to break up, One of the hot rods has a peace of dowel broken but the sound is reduced and good but stick quality very poor if you are after a pair of hard hitting sticks for rock then the nylon flex sticks may be the better option.
Personally wound not buy wooden dowel sticks again unless under 5

5.0 out of 5 stars These sticks are HOT!! 24 May 2013

I had a pair of these before but they don't last forever. I replaced my old ones with these new ones. They're not as loud as normal sticks and great for practice.
They do exactly what it says on the tin (although they don't actually come in a tin).

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Rods 16 Dec 2012

These are my favourite rods so far, they get a distinctive sound with less attack than a stick, good for practising with if you like the lower volume. Better feel than the wand type rods in my opinion.

Thse drumsticks are excellent quality and make playing the drums more quietly much easier without spoiling the sound. They were a great price and I would purchase them again.

Very good quality sticks. When I first started playing with them I was hitting too hard, so one of the rods started to come out of place so I maybe should have bought the... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A classic
The best rods I've played so far. It's too bad they tend to expand at the tip very quickly but I am a hard hitter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great sticks
Really good for the price, just all around good sticks. I have to use them because they're quieter than normal sticks and my neighbours complain.

I buy these fairly regularly and they always meet my requirements for a lighter sound around the kit still with a bit of attack. Read more
