Mark Felton is a British historian from Colchester in Essex. He currently lectures at Fudan University, Shanghai, and has lived in China for the past 7 years. He is the author of over a dozen books, including Today is a Good Day to Fight, reviewed in The Times Literary Supplement, Japan's Gestapo, which was named 'Best Book of 2009' by The Japan Times, and The Real Tenko which received excellent reviews in Soldier and many other UK periodicals. His books have been featured in newspapers on both sides of the Atlantic, including The Mail on Sunday, The Daily Express and The London Evening Standard in the UK, and The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The International Herald Tribune in the US, and further afield in The Australian and the Far East Economic Review. Dr. Felton also regularly writes for several US magazines.
Dr. Felton is a fundraiser for the Royal British Legion's annual Poppy Appeal in Shanghai.
