Each two-page spread lists a week on the right (the days include notes on the phases of the moon, famous nautical events in history, and plenty of blank space to write in) and extensive nautical history, facts, and trivia tidbits on the left. The Mariner's Book of Days 2011 is at once both a useful scheduling tool and an extraordinarily fascinating assembly of facts about life on the oceans and seas.

This is a very interesting collection of facts and short notes on historical nautical events. Since purchasing this some years ago, I make sure it is on my list of things to buy each year around Christmas time. It also makes a great gift.
