Excellent German musical

This musical in German language is another masterpiece by Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze, from "Elisabeth" fame. The story is the stage rendition of French Queen Marie Antoinette's life until her death. The story incorporates historical events pertinent to Marie Antoinette's life, including the necklace affair and her romance with Fersen. The musical is set up through two parallel storylines, one telling the story from the perspective of Marie Antoinette and one telling the story from the perspective of Margrid Arnaud, a poor woman who rises up in the rebellion.
The accompanying booklet delineates the musical's story in German language in addition to containing the German lyrics.
The music is very reminiscent (although by no means identical to) of other Levay/Kunze works, such as Elisabeth and Mozart! Very catchy tunes and awesome cast interpretations by Ethan Freeman, Roberta Valentini, Sabrina Weckerlin, Patrick Stancke, and Thomas Christ.
The only thing that irritates me to no end is that this is the CD runs only for about 40 minutes (as it is the "Best Of" version), and no full cast version is available. Such a shame!
The creators originally released the musical in Japan. In an interview on his website, Kunze said that producers had offered to stage the show in German and English-speaking countries, but that he wanted to have the Kuriyama (Japan) production all over the world. Since the libretto was originally written in English, there may be hope that this masterpiece will eventually make it to the US :).
