This book is one of the best cake recipes books ever. I have been baking for 40 years & was in a rut. Margaret Bacon's tearoom won National awards, and now I see why! Believe me, her recipes are very easy to follow & for those of you who are pushed for time she gives several alternative recipes using a processor. Every mother should give her daughter this book! Buy it, you won't regret it.

I have visited Margaret's Tea Room at Baconsthorpe in Norfolk which was a fantastic experience,a the food was out of this world and the Tea Room was sectioned into separate rooms like the Bluebell Room, Primrose Room etc., I felt I had been taken back in time. Unfortunately Margaret has now retired and the Tea Room is no more. I have had my original book which was signed by Margaret Bacon for many years and use it every week. I have bought several copeis for friends and family and recommend this book to everyone. My Grandaughter and I have afternoon tea days using Margarets recipes.
