I bought this cross trainer from Sweatband earlier this year.
Unfortunately it arrived with the plastic casing that is the body of the machine broken. This I put down to the item being poorly packed. I contacted Sweatband who arranged for a replacement plastic part to be sent. In the mean time I put the machine together, which wasn't too difficult, and in use it didn't seem to bad.
When the new part arrived, and I came to undo the 'peddles', I found that the bolts that held the foot plates on had welded them selves solid and there was no way on this earth that I was going to get them off in order to repair this trainer.
I had therefore no alternative but to totally reject this item.
Sweatband has an advisor 'resident expert' that I was able to talk to. He was able to steer me through the mine field in order to get a good cross trainer.
So what did I settle on?
A Kettler Verso 309. Yes a little more pricey than the Marcy ER3000D, But as my title says, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
My advice would be to skip this one, and don't waste your money.
The Kettler is by far a more superior piece of machinery and that is only what you'd expect from German engineering.
