For two glorious weeks in Devon, Italian tycoon Sandro Rossi, wooed and romanced English blonde beauty Cassie Janus, until the last night of his visit when they shared an incredible passionate night together, declaring undying love for each other, he proposed and she accepted. Sandro left the next day for Florence to tell his family about her and promised to come back for her. Her subsequent phone calls to him were unanswered, until she discovered 8 weeks later that she was pregnant with his twins and made a last desperate call to him, this time she spoke to a Sandro that denied knowledge of her and urged her never to call him again. Cassie felt rejected, used and heartbroken.

Six years on Cassie a successful single parent of two adorable twins - Isabella and Anthony is also the head of the accounts team at BarTec a small but successful technological firm that was recently acquired by the Marchese group. For the first time since the birth of her twins Cassie attended an office party to welcome their new boss, in the company of her colleague and friend Ella, congratulating herself on her ability to put the past behind her and getting on with her life. Little did she know that her past was about to rear its head with a vengeance, in the shape of their new boss Alessandro Marchese who turns out to be Cassie's Italian beau Sandro Rossi. Six years apart had not wiped the connection and chemistry between them and sparks flew when their eyes connected. Cassie's were filled with hate and loathing while Sandro's was blank for the simple reason that he did not remember her. The dramatic events that followed their official meeting at the party marked the beginning of highly charged emotional and heart-rending encounters for these two lost love birds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Michelle Reid is back on form - with a vengeance! 29 July 2009
By ROROBLU'S MUM TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I've always read MR books, though this is more out of a habit that dates back to my 20's when I read her avidly, and collected her back-catalogue, rather than because her recent books were excellent. At best, the last couple were ok, and in fact I was of 2 minds whether to get this book, and I am so glad that I did.
This tale firstly is believable, and the circumstances that forced the leads apart 6 years ago is plausible, and supported by the blackouts that Allessandro is suffering from. Both he and Cassie are likeable and the passion that burned between them before ignites pretty much straight away, in a way that the reader can 'get' despite their past history and break-up. There are only about 3 love scenes, and not as descriptive as MR's normally are, but they suit the story, and the HEA is well-deserved by Sandro, Cassie and their twins. This is a really 'lovely' story, one that I can see myself keeping and reading again, not a sell-on! I hope that MR continues to write like this again, and that she writes more books a year - 12 months apart is FAR too long...

5.0 out of 5 stars emotional romance 27 Oct 2009

How can she tell him that she's expecting his twins?
When Alessandro Marchese strides into the headquarters of his latest acquisition, one person is particularly struck by his awesome presence... The tingling of Cassie's skin lets her know her new boss is the man who left her - pregnant with twins! And now it seems he's forgotten her altogether!
But the formidable Italian is more affected by Cassie than he lets on. The darkness of his memory is lifting. Now Alessandro needs just one more thing to complete the picture - Cassie, with his wedding ring on her finger...
I love all Michelle Reid's books and this one is no exception. Her characters are so real. I read it in one sitting.

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful 23 Oct 2009
By Antee C

He forgot her! I always love Michelle. Her writing style is so distinctive. This book had a few twist that I didn't expect, but ultimately she delivers the HEA that you expect. I hope we don't have to wait as long for her next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unforgettable 24 Sep 2009
Format:Paperback
A very good book by michelle reid after a long time. The last couple of books have been kind of slow, but this one keeps you going on and you want to finish it in one shot. However I wish she would write more books in a year. 1 Book is way to less for a year. Most of her stories are very different and she manages to potray them very well to bring out the reality in them.
Hoping to read more books from her.

1.0 out of 5 stars pretty weak! Sorry just didn't get this one!!!! 18 Jan 2010
Format:Paperback
This tale began pretty well and then became a yarn that got boring beyond belief, sorry guys, just didn't get it, thought characters flat and a promising story poorly utilized.
