At first, it was the kitsch, retro design of the bottle which attracted me, especially as purple is my favourite colour. I've been wearing Angel by Thierry Mugler for years, and it has undertones of chocolate. Well, Lola is my new number one perfume, with its gorgeous violet-like notes, and also some pink peppercorn, vanilla and rose scents to my untrained nose. It's powerful, sexy and feminine without being overpowering or nauseating. I bought the eau de parfum so it would last longer and I find that I can still smell it lightly at the end of the day when I get ready for bed. A little goes a long way.

I decided to purchase this perfume having smelled a tester at a health farm and wanted to buy it as a gift. My girlfriend traditionally uses Chanel 5 and I wanted to see if she liked this as much as I do! This perfume is not to overtly floral, nor over the top but more understated, in my opinion. Having said that, it is quite distinctive with more upper scent notes than lower. Quite refreshing. Those who like the look of bottles will probably like this one - a very flamboyant lid with multi-coloured plastic twirls in the form mof a rose petal. Very effective and eccentric. The perfume has gone down well with the girlfriend (phew!)and I would recommend buying through Amazon who have always provided good, reliable service, whoever have provided the actual supplying.

Very nice perfume which is not too heavy but very aromatic. The bottle is a superb design which makes the product that extra bit special
