A much lighter alternative to its counterpart, Oh Lola! is a flirty fragrance that's great for livening up a dull day. Having smelt the original Lola fragrance, Oh Lola! was instantly preferable to me. Delightful top notes of raspberry and pear provide a vibrant opening that reminds me a beautiful summer's day. I don't normally like fruity fragrances, but this one is really fresh and not overpoweringly sickly sweet.
As the top notes fade, a floral heart presents itself and middle notes of peony and magnolia add a more delicate touch to the scent. Whilst pleasing on the nose, they are quite subtle and almost undetectable from a distance - I'd like a bit more oomph from them! A contrast from the punchy opening, gentle notes of vanilla and sandalwood dominate the base, providing both warmth and additional sweetness. I love vanilla and sandalwood, but I think it would be great if Oh Lola! had a complimentary fruit or floral note in the base too - it would add to the vibrant femininity that this perfume promises.
This scent doesn't last as long as some others - after about 3 hours it's almost faded completely - so if you like lighter scents then I think that this would be a good one to try. If you love the bottles as much as what's in them, then Oh Lola! is perfect - the outrageous flower design will definitely stand out on any dressing table! If you're looking for a fresh and fruity scent then I would definitely recommend Oh Lola! The effervescent raspberry and pear make me think of summer, and I'll definitely be wearing this perfume more as the warmer weather approaches.
