This swing doesn't have a bar which goes between the child's legs, making it a bit unsafe for younger kids who don't know how to hold on properly. I didn't buy this exact model, and the one I bought had a flat seat rather than curved, but my son slipped out through the bars when we put him in (the bars lift up so you can get the child in easily). The curved seat on this model might do the trick though.
