While in theory this book is fantastic and well organised set of translations it is sadly rendered fairly useless by the fact that it does not provide the words in the marathi alphabet - the entire book is written in the roman alphabet only.
This is rather like learning to cook without being allowed to eat anything. The roman alphabet simply cannot be used to tell how things are pronounced. This book tries to solve the pronounciation problem by using wierd phonetic symbols above and below the roman letters as a guide to pronunciation.
Now, if you are going to put a lot of effort into learning a wierd phonetic roman alphabet then wouldn't you rather just learn the marathi alphabet instead? The marathi alphabet is purely phonetic and tells you exactly how things are pronounced. My recommendation - learn the marathi alphabet and get a dictionary that uses the real marathi letters.
